I love that my husbands Thursdays are now his Fridays.

He works extra hard so it's nice for him to get 3 day weekends.

I'm also a little jealous of him for it ;]

I love that we are finally getting our taxes done tonight. 

Hopefully we will break even or get a little back.

(I've had a sip here and there when there wasn't anything else to drink) But I used to drink 1-3 sodas every day.

I found this chicken recipe on Pinterest and was pretty excited to try it out. The ingredients were a little iffy but basically everyone commented saying how delicious it was! Well I made it a few day ago and it was so gross. Gag me.

One year goes by fast

One year ago today Branden and I got engaged.

Hunger Games

I'm sure you've heard that The Hunger Games came out this weekend. If you didn't know that, chances are you've been living under a rock or something. 

Anyway... We went down to Utah this weekend for my mom and Casey's birthdays!

We went to The Hunger Games on Friday night. We all loved it (except Branden) who said "That was theeee dumbest movie I have ever seen". Well, he never read the books so he is missing out!

And of course-- being die hard fans and all we got t-shirts made.

Saturday we went shopping! Basically where we live, there is nowhere good to shop. So we take advantage when we can :]

Speaking of taking advantage.... You know that I had to eat at Chick-fil-a. Slightly obsessed? Ya.

Monday is literally thee worst day of the week. 

It's so bad that it even ruins Sunday afternoon/evening.

Long post

Last Tuesday my sweet Grandpa Bob passed away.

Death is such a bittersweet thing.

It's sad to see the people you love the most leave this world,

but it's comforting knowing that they are in a better place and that they don't feel pain anymore. 

His funeral was in Arizona so on Sunday morning we packed up and drove down. 

I don't know if you have ever made the drive from Idaho to Arizona, but it is painful. It's anywhere from 14-16 hours. We left on Sunday and came home Tuesday. Too much driving for me!

Monday we got to spend the morning hanging out with our step mom and sister.

We went to the "famous" Sprinkles cupcake shop.

My dad is not a fan of Sprinkles haha so we had to try them out for ourselves.

We bought 10 different flavors to taste test--

We decided that they were ok but not as good as everyone 

else seems to think they are. 

(And not worth the price ha!)

Also, no trip to the AZ is complete without a trip to my favorite place to eat-- Chickfila

I could eat their waffle fries and chicken nuggets errrryday!

After we hung out with Shye and Ashlynn we went and put our feet in the pool and relaxed with my mom, Scott, Aunt Zoe, Matt, and Kristin

*Side note-- Arizona in March is lovely. 

Monday night was the viewing....

and Tuesday morning was the funeral.

He had military honors and the funeral was very nice.

It was really nice to be surrounded with so many people there to celebrate my grandpas life.

I have an amazing family and I am so lucky they are mine. 

We all love and miss you grandpa.

The time my husband cut his hair

Branden hasn't cut his hair or shaved his beard since we got married, which was almost 6 months ago. 

Finally yesterday he decided he was sick of it.

We cut his hair down to a #4 and trimmed his beard to a #5.

(Baby steps...)

The plan is to shave the beard completely by the end of the weekishhh. 

So, no more caveman husband for me! 

Weekend

I made some surprisingly good cookies the other day. 

But you know how I can't cook?

Well... right when I was getting ready to put the dough on the cookie sheet I noticed that they were SUPER runny. Luckily Jessica was there and had me double check the recipe. Turns out I didn't add 4 1/2 cups of flour, I only added 1 1/2 cups. WOW. Sometimes I amaze myself haha :)

Friday night Jessica did my hair while I loved on her baby for a few hours. Then we ordered some Pizza Hut, which by the way was SO good. They outdid themselves and we may have gained 15 pounds off that stuff, but it was so worth it.

My moms bridal shower was on Saturday. Her soon to be sister-in-law Mel did a great job!! 

And on a totally random note-- We got these side tables as a wedding present and I finally put them together today, by myself! I was pretty impressed.
