A few things you might not know about me...

in high school, a hand full of people called me "gothic" because i wore lots of black, had black hair, wore thick eyeliner, and painted my nails/toe nails black all the time. i was far from "goth" though :) 

**side story regarding me being "gothic"-- one time i was cutting an older gentleman's hair and he noticed i had black nails.... his response "you're one of those gothics aren't ya?" pssshh. 

i'm almost a foot shorter than my husband. 

i wear a size 5-5 1/2 shoe. except one time in junior high when i made the cheerleading squad and ordered a size 6 1/2 because that's what size all of my friends wore. needless to say i had abnormally large feet compared to my body that year ;)

my dream car is a jeep. one day.... 

i hate doing laundry. i usually only will if i run out of things to wear. 

i am a fan of the bachelor and the bachelorette. but if you've read my blog before, you already know this! who do you hope sean picks?? i kinda like both of the final 2 at this point...

last year i stopped drinking soda for almost 5 months. i am attempting it again. 

i have always wanted to have twins. 

i hate snow. i would love to live somewhere that was warm year round. 

i have a gym membership but i never use it. 

my husband has never been to disney land and i want to take him soooo badly!

i have lived in more than 15 different houses. a lot of them were only minutes away from each other. 

i was in 10th grade when i had my first kiss. compared to most of my friends i was a late bloomer in that area :) 

i am a hopeless romantic and i love romantic movies and books.

i hate tomatoes. instant gag. 

when branden and i started hanging out we went to the movies at least once a week. i still have every movie stub. i stopped collecting them once they just started giving receipts. lame!

this weekend

we went to some mma (mixed martial arts?) fights with our friends jessica and chio.

 besides the fact that the seating was total crap, even though we paid for the best seats, we had a good time! i don't really understand why people think it's fun to get the shiz beat out them. to each their own, right?

i could only get branden to take one picture. i'll take what i can get :)

...and how can you not be obsessed with this movie? one summer (i think i was a freshman in high school) i watched it every night. i kid you not. every. night. a little over board? maybe. let's blame it on the fact that i was a love struck teenager. 

then, the lucky one

and you've done it again with safe haven. 

i might have gone to this movie two nights in a row this weekend... i'm a total sap. but really, i loved it. can we talk about the first-kiss-behind-the-tree-scene?! i may have died right there. or when they are dancing in the restaurant/store?! oh. my. gosh. if you haven't already-- go now, and watch this movie! 

so those are my 3 favorites.

"little man" baby shower

this weekend my mom and i threw a "little man" themed baby shower 

for my sister ashley and her baby boy. 

i literally did not take any pictures (dunno why, so mad). so all of the pictures i am posting come from my sister or mom or someone else. :(

the games

my mom did a memory game (seen to the right of the chalk board) and if you got 2 matches you won a candy bar that went along with the match you found-- example: preemie= runts, epidural=life saver, daddy= mr. goodbar, etc... 

everyone got a bow tie to wear and they couldn't say the word "baby" or "belly" and if they did and someone heard them, they could steal their bow tie. the person with the most bow ties at the end won a prize.

i put together a baby themed relay race 

*the first leg-- you had to put together and take down a pack and play

*the second leg-- you had to change a baby dolls diaper 

*the third leg-- you had to eat a jar of baby food using only a baby spoon 

*the fourth leg-- you had to chug a baby bottle 

*the fifth leg-- you had to assemble a stroller and then race it to the finish line

  the losing team had to wear these fake mustaches for the rest of shower. they only ended up wearing them long enough to take a picture, but still ;)

we also played "guess who's mustache" and i didn't get any pictures of that. basically i printed off a bunch of famous mustaches and you had to see how many you could guess right and the winner got a prize. 

the food

we had sandwiches, chips, and "bow tie" pasta (to go along with the theme), and cupcakes for dessert. 

the gifts

lots of cute baby clothes, diapers, wipes, blankets, the usual.

as you may know, valentine's day was yesterday. 

personally, i love the day of love. 

thanks to pinterest i found this cute (and very last minute) gift to give branden. 

i put it in the fridge as a little surprise for him when he woke up :) 

and then i sent him this lovely collage to keep him in the valentiney mood during work!

for dinner we went to wingers and for dessert we shared my favorite-- the cookie zookie. pure heaven.

one.... hello lovely wad of hair extensions I found while cleaning my house yesterday. If you are disgusted by this, I apologize. Good news is-- they do belong to me... if that makes it any less gross? 

two...still cutting out bow ties for the baby shower this weekend. Here's hoping the decorations turn out cute-- cause' they have potential! 

three....apparently I look homeless today because I have 2 holes in the elbow of my shirt. Which really sucks cause' this is a go-to-kinda-shirt. I guess I've just worn it too much :(

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday...

Monday-- Donuts and juice to start the week off right. 

Tuesday-- Finally, finally started taking down our Christmas tree. Just the ornaments for now, but hopefully this weekend the whole thing will be down! Don't judge. 

Wednesday-- Beat my high score & Brandens high score on Temple Run 2. Is anyone else addicted to this game? 

Thursday-- Making this super cute bow tie garland for my sisters baby shower! It's next week and I have lots to do still... :) 

Well there's Monday- Thursday for ya. With 2 episodes of The Bachelor this week plus some other fun things... this week has been full of drama! 

Was anyone else sad to see Selma go? I thought she was kind of hilarious. 

But of course Tierra stays. She's not nuts at all.
