Sad but true.
My wedding was amazing.
BUT if I would have had a little thing called Pinterest before
I would have loved to have some of these things....

I am in love with this! I love how casual they look without wearing jackets (coats? idk).
Plus the suspenders on the groomsmen and the groom in a vest.
Perfect.

How gorgeous are those table cloth/covers?
And the light underneath makes them look a million times better. Genius!

I loved my wedding dress but I found this while on Pinterest and I think it is so pretty.

One of the biggest pains of planning for our wedding was trying to find bridesmaids dresses that "matched" and that everyone liked. Now I see this picture and I think... Why didn't I do this? Serious. Just give your bridesmaids a color scheme and let them find a dress they like!

I realize his pants are totally pushin it, but I kind of love it.
Not to mention Branden totally would have went for something like this.
DANG IT!!

I am dying over this picture.
How happy is that guy?
I'm obsessed.

That's all for now :)

Last weekend in July

I swear the weeks seem to fly by....
It's crazy how August will be here in 2 days!!

Anyways, this weekend was a busy one.
Friday night Jessica came over and helped me finish painting my living room.
While we were at it we decided-- let's rip up the carpet!
All the while Branden was "babysitting" Crue.
So here is what the outside of my house is looking like until garbage day....
BUT the inside is looking great!
Here is a little preview. I still have to pull up all the tack track and staples and sweep a couple billion more times. (don't mind the clutter on the shelves ha)
Trust me though, it looks wayyyy better!!
Once I am done I'll post a before and after pic :) YAY!

Saturday Branden had yet another softball tournament.
I swear that is all he does in the summer.
His team didn't do great and I only ended up going to one game haha.

Saturday evening we went to our friends wedding

Congrats to Jmac and his new wifey Lacey!!

Lastly-- Sunday was Branden's dads birthday
I made them take a picture together because, let's face it, I take pictures of everything and they needed one! Happy Birthday Papa Brett!!

Top 5 shows that stream on Netflix

I am a huge believer in Netflix.
Especially the streaming feature.

If you don't have a Netflix account, shame on you.
Now go get one!

I love movies but I love TV shows more.
So, here are my top 5 TV shows that stream on Netflix---

1. Prison Break
I can't even tell you how much I love this show. I watched all 4 seasons in less than 2 weeks. Get a life, right? Besides the fact that the 2 main characters are gorgeous, this show has such a good story line and always keeps you in suspense. You will not regret watching this show. Added bonus-- This is a show that you can watch with your significant other! It's something you will both enjoy.

2. Grey's Anatomy
I don't even know where to start. This show is constantly changing. There is drama, romance, suspense, and more! The writers of this show have thought of every way to traumatize the characters. It is so good. So, so good.

3. Parenthood
Branden and I watched this one together. We loved it. If you actually have a life and don't want to get sucked into a show that you cannot turn off, this is a good choice. It's just good. Not really any cliff hangers that make you have to watch what happens next. And sometimes that's just what you need.

4. One Tree Hill
I've watched this show since it first aired. The first 4 seasons are the best. It's a drama about 2 brothers in high school who are rivals. If you are anything like me, you will definitely be hooked on it.

5. Friday Night Lights
Who doesn't love a show about football? Enough said.

What about you? What are your must see shows? I'm watching Pretty Little Liars right now but I need a new show for when I am done! Suggestions??

1. It's Friday!! We are having Wingers at work for lunch. So that's happy :]

2. I am going to buy paint for my living room today. I really despise painting, but I need some home improvement. Can't have one without the other I guess.

3. Pretty Little Liars. Anyone else love this show? If you haven't seen it, put it on your to-watch list. It streams on Netflix, so that's a plus.

4. The husband has a softball tournament this weekend. So i'll be sweating it out at the field for 2 full days!

5. The Bachelorette finale is this weekend. Someone spilled the beans and told me who won... We will see if they were right. Is anyone else hoping that Sean pulls a Reid and makes a comeback? I am.

Arizona part 3

The last night we were in town we wanted to take my dad out to dinner for Father's Day.
(Yes, Father's Day was a month ago)

We ended up going to TGI Friday :)

*Side note---- The guy in the tank top right there... he was loving Branden. Like, stealing glances every few minutes. So odd. hahahahahaha

Here is the whole crew! We had a good time besides the fact that the restaurant was super humid and we saw a grasshopper jumping around... good stuff.

Does it look like we have giant mustaches??

Friday the 13th
When we first booked our flights to and from Arizona I thought we might be asking for trouble flying home on Friday the 13th... DUN DUN DUN!!!!

I woke up to a phone call from the airline saying our flight had been delayed an hour. Great. 15 minutes later I got another call saying it was back to its original time. Good.

So.... we get to the airport, say our goodbyes :*(, get checked in and go to our gate. The flight boards on time and then we wait.... and wait.... and wait. Did I mention that in Arizona in July it's like 115 degrees outside? So ya sitting in the plane felt like we were in an oven. Needless to say with all the mechanics coming in and out and the lights flickering occasionally, things were getting weird!

Luckily we took off and after what seemed like the longest flight ever--- we landed.

But wait! The fun doesn't stop there. We ride the shuttle back to our car [(in the economy parking lot) (which costed us $75 to park in, I am not kidding.)] and what do you know? It won't start. The battery is dead. Someone (me) accidently left the headlights on all week long.
Luckily airport security came and jumped our car so we could go home finally!

....and here we are again needed our car jumped-- in the parking lot of Taco Bell. Could this BE anymore awkward? (Chandler Bing style)

From start to finish we spent about 10 hours traveling.
Moral of the story-- Don't leave the house on Friday the 13th.
The end.

We had lots of fun in Arizona! Until next time :)

Arizona part 2

Monday night we had the McClendon family over for sandwiches and swimming!
We grew up spending every day with these guys so it's always so good to get to catch up with them!

Tuesday night we went to Burrito Express with Craig, his wife and daughter, and Tim. We met Craig and Tim like 9 years ago and spent every summer hanging out with them.
These guys are so funny and we love getting to hang out with them now and again!

Wednesday night Kristopher and Sara invited us over for pizza and game night.
We played a couple of games and then ended up watching some interesting Youtube videos. Haha it was a fun night. We wish we lived closer so we could hang out with these guys more!
Next time we're in town we will have to do it again for sure!!

Check back for part 3 of our trip!

Arizona part 1

We left for our week long vacation to Arizona on Friday morning-- early. As in we woke up and left by 4:45 (not without stopping at the drive thru of McDonalds).

After we landed in the AZ heat we went to my dads house for a quick nap and then took off to my grandmas house in Heber for the weekend.
I haven't been up to Heber in a couple of years and I kinda forgot about how green the drive is. The mountains are literally covered in trees! It's kinda funny to drive from Mesa where everything is orange and rocks to Heber where it is green and mountains. You get the best of both worlds :)

Heber is the place to be for 4th of July.
The last time we were there during the 4th was years ago...
Sooo this year we decided to reenact this picture--

Me and my sisters with Grandma Kay
Us with Uncle Brian's kids :)

Branden and I went to the Heber parade and then went down the "the park" with my Uncle Brian to wait in line for fry bread... and wait we did. The line was CRAZY! We waited for almost an hour to order.
Luckily the sun was hidden for a little while so it wasn't too hot the whole time. Our food was very delish though, so all and all worth it!

That evening we did the Home Run Derby.
It's a tradition my family has been doing but this is the first year we got to participate :)
After round 1 we were in the lead! I hit 3 home runs. Crazy, I know. But sadly after the last round we ended up in 3rd place. My Uncle Brian and Aunt Stacy won and their cute little boys took 2nd place-- those kids can hit the ball!!

Later that night we had a BBQ and all hung out and waited for to watch the fireworks show!
Here is Branden enjoying one of Shye's fabulous sugar cookies.

We all just sat in my grandma's front yard and watched the fireworks from there.
They were great as usual. Definitely better than the ones we have here in Idaho.
(My phone wasn't great at taking pictures during the fireworks-- but trust me they were awesome!)

And then we were off! Back to Mesa....

Stay tuned for more of our trip!

Merry 4th!

This 4th of July we went to the pool and laid out all afternoon.
It was lovely.

Afterwards Branden and I went and had a little family dinner at his parents house and watched the fireworks from their backyard.

We are headed on a much needed vaca to visit my family in the Arizona heat very soon!
YAY!! See you soon Arizona!!
......and I hope everyone had a fabulous 4th!
God bless America :)
