Eye yi yi....

Hope everyone had a great Turkey Day!!

We sure did!!

Now on to the fun events of the weekend...

Branden had to work on Friday and he was soldering some pipe when some

water came through and the solder exploded in his face.

 Its a hot liquid and then dries hard. So basically, there were a bunch

of these little pieces of solder in his eye. He got most of them out but it still

felt like there was a piece in there. So, off to the doctors we went!

Since it was the day after Thanksgiving the eye doctor was closed and we had to go to Physicians Immediate Care. They numbed his eye and put this yellow coloring in it, turned off the lights, and put a black light

over it to see if they could see anything. Turns out there wasn't any

solder in it but there was a big burn on the colored part of his left eye. 

The doctor couldn't tell how bad the burn was so he had to call the on call Optometrist.

We went and met Dr. Fornerotto up at his office and he said that we would have to wait and see if the burned part of eye would 

sluff off or would heal within the next couple of days. 

He gave us a couple different eye drops and called in a prescription for some

pain killers and some more eye drop things. 

Luckily the burned part of the eye didn't sluff off and he's been doing good :)

So, that was our fun filled Friday!!

Awkward & Awesome

Awkward is... going to Fred Meyer at 10pm the night before Thanksgiving with no make up on, mismatching clothes, and wet hair.

Awesome is... Getting a front row parking spot!

Awkward is... Getting a shopping cart that has a bum wheel. (You know, the one that rattles around, driving everyone crazy)

Awesome is.... Getting new winter boots!

Awkward is... Getting cut off in the parking lot of McDonald's ha!

Awesome is... Jessica getting out of her car in the middle of the drive thru to chase after a 10 dollar bill that was blowing around in the wind

Awkward is... The fact that I went to McDonald's twice today. Holaaay!

Awesome is... Watching the millions of episodes of Friends on my DVR.

Awkward is... Going to American Eagle 3 times today. I'm on a roll!

Awesome is... 4 day weekends!

Thankful

Thanksgiving is this week!
Tomorrow we will be stuffing ourselves so full that we will think we
can't possibly eat again for weeks.
Then, midnight will roll around and we'll be ready for third's, and fourth's, and fifth's....
People have been posting something every day this month about what they are thankful for.
I decided to do one big post of everything that I am thankful for.
And here it is! I am very thankful for-----

Branden. Aka: Husband. Best friend. Happy place. Everything.

Family. Everyone who is in these pictures & everyone who is not. I am thankful for my moms, dads, sisters, brothers, grandparents, nieces & nephews, cousins, aunts & uncles, etc, etc....

Friends. I love all of these ladies so much! I enjoy every moment I get to spend with them :]

Date Night

This weekend we went on a dinner date with my mom and Scott.
We decided we wanted to try somewhere new.
There aren't a whole lot of new places to eat here but we decided to go to
Cafe Tuscano.
I had the chicken, bacon, ranch, pizza.

And it was pretty delish!
And the best part of all? It wasn't very expensive.
What a beautiful thing.

Breaking Dawn Part 1

Me, Jessica, my mom, and sisters went to the premiere of Breaking Dawn.

 We decided to pay a little more and go to the 8pm sneak peek!

Its definitely the way to do it!

No waiting outside for hours for the midnight showing!

As part of the tickets we bought we got a little gift bag.

Here's what we got-

 Cupcakes with temporary tattoo's

A blood bag with fruit punch in it

A wedding ring that looked similar to Bella's

We also got a bracelet, a Breaking Dawn mug, and a coupon for a spa.

For the most part it was a pretty good movie.

Could they have done it better? Ya.

There were a few things that I didnt love

1. Bella's wedding dress looked like she was wearing a leotard

2. When the wolves were talking to each other.

Was that corny or what?!

3. The baby was not cute. Its supposed to be this perfect baby...

They could have done better there.

Family Bowling Night

This Saturday night we went bowling with my mom, Scott, and all the kiddies!



I am really terrible at bowling.
Just an FYI.

But thanks to Jaylen being more terrible,I didn't get last place!!

Which is really uncommon for me :)

I know that everyone's favorite part of bowling is the sweet shoes you get.

It takes everything I have not to wear them out...

But then I think about how many sweaty feet have been in them.

YUM!!

How we spent Halloween

Halloween was our FIRST holiday since we got married!!

We decided we would just stay home, watch a movie, and wait for the trick-or-treaters.

We ordered Mama Inez, popped in the first disc of Friends, bundled up in the living room

and waited......

And guess what? We didn't even get one trick-or-treater!!

We did get to see this handsome police officer though :]
