a random post of events from the last week!

soooooo we've had a pretty eventful week!
the grays had another home game that we went to (they won!)

krozby has his first taste of chocolate the other day!
we gave him some licks off of a fudgecicle at my grandmas and he loved it!
(do you like his bib/towel haha)

and lastly.... the thing that has been stressin me out all week....
monday morning krozby woke up with a few blisters on his index finger and by wednesday they had spread to a couple different places on his hands

(they look a lot better in these pictures than they did originally)
so wednesday i took him into his pediatrician and he was stumped.
we decided we would wait because i had a follow up scheduled the
following week with him anyway.
well by friday the blisters had shown up on his legs and stomach...
at this point his pediatrician decided to refer him out to a dermatologist.

the dermatologist decided that it looks like he had gotten a staph infection.
so he is on antibiotics for 10 days and we will follow up after that.
we are also changing up the way we are dealing with his eczema so hopefully we can get his poor skin under control!!
we are praying the antibiotics will completely clear up the blistering and that nothing more serious is going on with our little guy.

even with everything going on with his skin, he is still such a happy baby!!
i just love love love that boy!!

Krozby sits up!

he has been sitting(ish) every once and a while for a few seconds at a time but finally yesterday (6.21.14) krozby sat up on his own for a long period of time!

he still gets a little wobbly but he's doing so good!

this mama is proud!

we've made it to the half year point with this babe!!

so crazy how fast time goes by.

he's such a good and happy boy.

at 6 months krozby--

eats a 4-6ounce bottle every 3 hours

and baby food ocassionally.

his favorite so far has been carrots. 

still loves his binky.

wears size 2 diapers.

is in 3-6 month clothes but can still fit into 3 month onsies 

(if they are short sleeved).

he has now mastered rolling over from back to front

and front to back.

it's taken him a while but he's got it down!

he can sit for about .2 seconds at a time if he is leaning forward on his hands haha so we'll see when he actually masters sitting up on his own. 

one of his new tricks is saying mama!

it's usually only when he's grumpy or whining but it 

tender hearing him go ma ma ma ma ma.

sometimes he will just be babbling and start saying it!

sometimes he will be a helper and hold his own bottle

which is nice! but sometimes he doesn't want

anything do to with that haha

he's still a pretty good sleeper. 

he doesn't wake up in the middle of the night and need a bottle

but lately he's been waking up because his poor hands itch so bad!

it's no fun!!

he had his 6 month check up today...

and as usual (every time we go to the doctor)

he pooped and blew out of his diaper!

every time!!

weight- 14lbs 4oz (4th percentile)

height- 26 1/2 inchaes (52nd percentile)

head circumference- 44 1/2 (70th percentile)

he got 3 shots again and it was just as sad as ever.

those little band aids sure are cute though!

the doctor think his bad skin could be cause from a milk allergy. 

we are going to try 2 new kinds of formula to see if they help.

as much as i would like to know what it causing his eczema and fix it, this formula is SO expensive!!

compared to the $18 (big can) of formula we buy at costco...

one of these trial formula's cost $38 for a small can!!

so part of me is hoping he isn't having an allergic reaction and we will be able to fix his skin problems some other way!!

his flat head has rounded out quite a bit since his last appointment and should continue to get better and better. 

he continues to be so much fun and we love him more and more every day! 

one of our favorite parts of the day is right before he goes to bed.

he gets a second wind and is so goofy!

Gate City Grays

Pocatello started up a semi pro baseball team-

The Gate City Grays.

Branden tried out and made the team!

So we've had fun watching him play!

he pitches and plays outfield....

last week they had a double header down in utah that we went and watched. it was dang hot outside!! krozby camped out under the umbrella and fell asleep haha :)

friday night the team had their home opener and it was so fun!

so many people showed up to support the new team

i got krozby a shirt to match me ;)

freakin cute huh?!

branden got up to bat 3 times and got on base each time!
he also did well in the outfield.

by the end of the game krozby was tired and ready to be done!

but we were so proud of branden!!

we're looking forward to spending the summer at the field!
