graduation and a baby blessing

this weekend was jam packed and super eventful!!

my dad, step mom, and step sister flew up from arizona 

because my nephew was being blessed on sunday and my sister

jaylen was graduating from high school on tuesday. 

saturday we drove down to utah and got to go to olive garden

for dinner with our family from arizona. 

sunday morning we got to go to baby taysoms blessing

luckily monday was a holiday so we got to spend the day relaxing since 

no one had to work.

tuesday was graduation day. our step brother derek and our sister jaylen both graduated, but from different high schools. so we got to sit through 2 graduations, back to back.

that night we went to a big dinner with our whole family to celebrate

the two graduates :) 

it was a busy but great weekend!!

and starting your work week on a wednesday is a happy thing :)

What's been up with us?

last week was my birthday!!

i am now the big 23. 

my birthday was on a friday this year

and i had the best day/weekend.

when i got off work jessica and crue took me to get my nails done.

branden ended up coming and picking crue up since he's 

a busy body and doesn't like to sit still ;)

that night branden took me to a movie and then dinner afterwards

at buffalo wild wings.

good enough. 

the next day branden had a softball tournament and my friend

hailee took me to costa vida for lunch. 

after lunch we decided to stop by the field and watch some of 

brandens game. it was so windy and cold so we didn't stay long.

not sure who's hat he is wearing... haha 

that night i convinced branden to let me go buy safe haven, and i even

got him to watch it with me! 

i think he thought it was kinda boring at first but then he got a little

more into it towards the end. 

you know i loved it. 

the next day we were supposed to have a bbq out at my moms.

(one of the many perks of a summer birthday)

well it rained all day, so our bbq got moved inside. 

it was still fun though :) 

hopefully i will be a little better at posting!

friday

i have been terrible at posting anything lately. 

there really hasn't been a whole lot going on around here!

i am happy to say that it is finally may---aka my favorite month. 

reasons why it is my favorite include:

-it finally starts warming up and feeling like summer

-it's my birthday month! 

that's about it. but 2 good reasons, ya? 

one of many reasons that i love the summertime is a little something called strawberries and cream. 

this bagel is a little piece of heaven and is only sold in the summer. 

so this morning i decided i had to go get one. 

and it was so. dang. good. 

and then i had one bite left... with one strawberry on top...

AND I DROPPED IT! 

and i wanted to cry. 

at least it's friday. right?
