28 weeks and getting stuff done

heyyyyy 28 weeks! 

(i actually turned 28 weeks on thursday)

so, heyyyy 28 weeks 5 days!!

i haven't heard back from the doctor saying i failed my glucose test so i am gonna assume that since it's been a week, i passed? sure!

yes please, ryan! 

something i forgot to mention in my 26 or 27 week post is that i finally finished the bottle of my GIANT prenatals! 

i had my mom look at costco to see if she could find some smaller ones for me and guess what she found??

gummy prenatals! they don't taste bad at all. definitely liking them better than the pills!

now to the "getting stuff done" portion of this post.

we've been in the process of cleaning our laundry room.

we have a pretty big laundry room but there has been a dining room table in there since branden moved in like 3 years ago!

anyway--- we got rid of the table and got a bunch of laundry hampers (really they are just big buckets but they will work great i think!) and now it looks 10X better!!

we still need to hang up some shelves and maybe make it a little cuter in there but i'm tellin ya it looks dang good. 

the main reason we had to do the laundry room first was so that branden could move all his clothes in there... because right now they are in the baby room!! 

making progress though....

today i am buying paint and hopefully by this weekend that room will be cleared out and i can actually paint and get things going!! 

whew!

27 weeks and a weekend getaway

first of all today is mine and branden's 2 year wedding anniversary!

happy anniversary to us!

since our anniversary fell on a tuesday this year, we decided to celebrate a little last weekend in utah. branden had 2 baseball games down there so we figured why not?

well it was fun to get away together for the weekend but we ended up driving a lot and were lost a lot. not to mention we stayed in a total dive motel. good times :)

during all the fun we were having i only took 1 picture.

this was me all day sunday. it was SO HOT i was dying. 

6 hours outside watching baseball was not my idea of a good time. 

i might have left once or twice to go walk around some stores close by ;)

i turned 27 weeks on thursday. 

yesterday i got to do the lovely glucose test...

honestly-- it wasn't as bad as i was expecting. 

the way people talk about that drink makes you think it's terrible! 

i didn't really mind the taste of it at all. 

having to drink it fast was the worst of it. oh and the hour wait wasn't great either...

....and here i am waiting.... cute right? haha

once the hour was up i got my blood drawn and got outta there!

(and ate a milky way in the car on the way home haha. gotta reward yourself for fasting right?!)

i haven't heard anything from the doctors office about the results so i'm hoping i passed!

they said no news is good news so cross your fingers!!

here is the newest addition of baby arnold's stuff from my grandma.

she loves to sew anything and everything!! 

we definitely aren't lacking in the blanket department thanks to her :)

we got pretty soaked at one point but we toughed it out! 

it was tons of fun :)

saturday we went to a wedding for some friends of ours.

the weather was perfect and it was a beautiful wedding. 

congrats mr. and mrs. cain!!

that's how we spent our weekend.

3 day weekend= too much fun

there's nothing better than a 3 day weekend. 

(ok, maybe a 7 day weekend would be better)

anyway---- thanks to labor day we had monday off work. 

then you add the bonus of my sister being in town and the fair. 

it was a fun weekend! 

i'm a serious fan of the fair. 

we basically do a lot of walking around and eating but it's a good time. 

honestly, we would probably spend a lot more time playing the games if it didn't cost a small fortune to play anything. 

luckily branden and casey both won their women some prizes!

branden played a game where you had to throw a baseball and try to break bottles with it. if you broke 3 bottles you won a big prize.

well he broke 2 bottles so i got 2 wonky prizes hahaha. 

casey played a game where if you made one basketball into the hoop you won a big prize. 

as you can see from the pic, he won the big prize ;)

good job boys! maybe if we go back branden can give it another go and win me the giant pig that i realllllllly want!! 

i do love my tiny nemo fish and lobster though. thanks babe!!

this weekend we did some shopping for the little guy. 

we are definitely lucky to have such good family and friends who love to spoil us!

all of baby "k"s stuff is accumulating in our living room....

there's a lot of procrastination going on in his nursery. 

(we haven't completely decided on his name but for now baby "k" is what we'll call him)

sunday night we had birthday dinner for jaylen.

this is the only picture i have from dinner.

but how cute is that little taysom?! 

after dinner we threw down with some monopoly!

and i somehow took everyone's money and property :) 

muahahahahahahahaha

that's how we spent our 3 day weekend.

we're planning on going to the fair again this friday and hopefully going to the trace atkins concert that night!!

weeks 20-25

here we are again!
another 5 weeks down!

i had my monthly doctors appointment and everything looked good.

and i got to schedule the dreaded glucose test. 

yayyy! really looking forward to that one!

symptoms--

-i almost always have a gross taste in my mouth. 

-i've been having acid reflux. yuck. 

i think those are the only two major ones right now.

cravings--

-i haven't really had any "cravings" during pregnancy at all. 

there are things that sound good but that's just normal life i think. 

the babe--

-he moves around quite a bit.

-he is the size of a zucchini.

that's about all i can say for him for now haha :)

now for the fun picture update....

and what do ya know... a little belly is starting to show itself!

so for all of you who aren't convinced there is a baby in there, there is!!

i'm going to try and start doing updates more often now that we are getting farther along.

eventful weekend

this weekend i had planned on painting the dresser for the nursery. 

well that didn't happen. 

thursday when i got off work i met my grandma at walmart to pick out some fabric i liked for some baby blankets. 

i hadn't felt sick or anything all day during work but i had been pretty busy so maybe i just didnt notice. but once i got to walmart my body started feeling really achy. i figured it might just be from going, going, going all day and that once i got home and laid down i would be ok. 

well that didn't seem to work. i got home and laid down for the rest of the night and when i woke up i felt like full-on-death!!! 

all day friday i was in bed dying with the worst body aches and a fever from anywhere from 101.1 to 102.6. scary and not fun. 

during all the fun i was having, the weather was having a little fun of its own. 

we had a full on flash flood and i missed out on the whole thing. 

a friend of branden's lives a block away from us and his house was flooding so branden was over there helping out and sent me these pictures....

seriously so much rain!! how crazy. 

this is one of the underpasses in town. completely flooded. 

luckily for us, our house didn't flood at all. i did notice a really big hole this morning in our front garden area. so hopefully that isn't anything bad..... uh.......??

oh and if you were wondering, i was sick all day saturday too. idk what the deal was. i almost went up to the hospital a few times because i didn't want my fever to be bad for the little, but i talked to a few people up at labor and delivery and they said as long as it didn't hit a 103 i should be good to stay home. by sunday i was feeling better, thank goodness. 

so although i didn't get to paint my dresser this weekend, it still was pretty eventful!
